I started this day out uninspired. I pulled out the camera and shot this cut daffie in the sun and I realized that when I am uninspired I shoot pics of flowers. I have lots of flowers this month! :)
I love following you, Debbie -- your uninspired shot is defintely better than most of my album. But, I hear what you're saying. I posted a straight out of the cell phone camera, boringly posed shot yesterday, because I felt too tired to try harder. One of those days!
In my project I don't think I get "uninspired" (I can't remember the last time I was inspired!) so much as "I haven't done anything interesting or been anywhere today"... so during essay time a lot of my shots are quick iphone snaps on my lunch break of nothing in particular! E.g.... the lunch time pigeon ;)
I'm inspired by light - which is pretty much the essence of photography. I don't know how you can take an uninspired shot, ever. I think it's impossible. Something makes you take a photo, even if your inspiration is to get your shot for the day. :)
This was a particularly horrible day for me and I could not be bothered so I took a picture of a cigarette in my hand. 2 favs! WOAH WOAH WOAH! This is why I love 365!
That's exactly how I felt yesterday! I just wanted to relax after work but I didn't have my photo and I had that dreaded 'tired and uninspired' feeling. I hate that! But it's nice to know that other people get it too. And it is also really nice when you have that feeling, force yourself to just start taking photos, and then actually end up with something that you are pleased with. I was much happier with my photo from yesterday than I thought I would be when I left work and went walking.
WOW...great response on this. I think the word "uninspired" can be taken many ways. For me, yesterday, I just didn't really feel like picking up the camera and trying to "find" a shot when nothing really stuck out at me. I'm glad there are others that feel the same way sometimes. But...looking at these shots, they are all wonderful in their own way. Photography is an art. Art is in the eye of the artist. I see experimentation in some of them, expression of feeling in others, a glimpse into someone else's world, views and angles that are unique even of a typical or "boring" subject, editing practice and techniques. I love 365 for it's diversity, for what I've learned and continue to learn and I admire all of your talents! Capturing a moment...how awesome is that. Something you can't redo no matter how hard you try cause it's like two snowflakes or two people...no two are exactly identical. I can't wait to see more "uninspired" shots!
@jtrudell -- Laughter is a good emotion! hee hee. This one in the frig is truly showing the "I have no clue what to shoot" emotion or maybe it's just pride in a clean frig???? I'm loving the little pop up wire shelf that lets the bottles stand upright. Never saw anything like that before. :-)
@debsphotos lol debbie - saw your comment purely by chance - but, believe me, it was one of those eeeeek moments - definitely not pride in clean fridge! Mine's a self cleaning one anyway lol!! That little shelf is very very useful :)
@sdpace
Totally agree. I have yet to take an uninspired photo, and I like all the photos in my album. I now see photo ops everywhere I go. After the first month I wondered if my enthusiasm would last for a year, but by getting involved and learning from this great community, I have a renewed energy and continue to be amazed by the great photos I see on this site each day, including a lot in this thread!!
@northy -- Yeah I've been going through a lull lately and it's taking a little more effort than usual to come up with ideas... Glad you liked it though :). Makes me more inspired to please my fans out there!
My kids are on holiday and I haven't been able to get outdoor shooting for 2 weeks (alone!) so this was taken indoors yesterday during an un-inspired afternoon!
I was doing the March Photo A Day challenge last month and on this particular day the word was sunglasses. I processed 7 different shots and really didn't like any of them. I settled for this, and folks had some nice things to say, but I still don't like it!
Oops, I posted the wrong pic! I simply can not get used to working with a laptop mouse and external keyboard. Here is the photo I meant to post for this discussion. I was feeling pretty uninspired this day.
This is a recent uninspired day for me, Monday's seem to be the worst for me...and initially I really didn't like this shot, but it has really grown on me and I see the beauty in it now!
Love these! I love the story some of them tell. And @ladyjane, rainy days often motivate me to take out the macro ring, close myself into the darn laundry room with a daylight CFL blub in my desk lamp and practice macro on "whatever". :-)
so many people have great uninspired shots! I don't usually feel 'uninspired' but just busy with work and writing thesis, so can't get out and about or set up shots much. this was one of my low points :)
I take a number of photos then after I upload it, I browse and see it's pretty uninspiring compared to what others have photographed. I've just started here April 1st. What a day to start the project, lol! I also don't know how to add a photo here. I'm sooo green.
@cassielh -- I have 3 more days til hit #365. I have learned so much. I've only been shooting with a SLR for about a year and a half. Point and shoot before that. So, the project was really a new experience for me right from the get-go with my new camera. Just enjoy the ride and soak up all you can from your fellow 365ers!
Boring photos of my cat! LOL

Difficult choice. I've had some pretty uninspired days recently. Think the car park wins...

This is my most recent less-desired shot. Just wasn't finding anything for a long exposure.
@calx awesome. Thanks for the chuckle.
got inspired after a few shots of coffee!

This was such a dull day , I just photographed a photo on my wall :/
Great comments and great photos! You are all an inspriation!
ok - this is probably my most obvious one... but there are MANY others!
I love seeing the "uninspired" shots everyone posted. I'm so glad I started this thread and so glad you all responded!
a bird, that's all I got this day!
I always feel uninspired when it's raining. I can't seem to get a good pic in gloomy light.
i was very uninspired but like how this turned out in the end :-)

Not even one comment on it either....Guess that says it all.
@newbie -- I'm likin the textures!
@sharnic -- I think "uninspired" gets confused with no time, etc. a lot. I love your comp!
@lucyk -- OK...what is Gu
@kaphotos -- This is so fun! She looks so serious about it, too!
