This is a B&W thread - for B&W photography where B&W is the main mode. Selective coloring is OK, Sepia is OK, but the images in this thread should mainly be monotone.
What's your favorite B&W photo from this past week? Share with us what you took this week. Please post only one B&W photo you took. Didn't take a B&W this week? That's OK. Post a B&W from someone else's project that you really fell in love with this week.
Find the B&W you want to share and then copy and paste the code into a reply. You'll find the code below the Facebook and Twitter buttons on the right hand column of that photo.
To start a new discussion, go up to the "discuss" tab. Pick the area your topic fits under (general, article, themes, etc.). Click of that option. At the top of the list of threads is a button for "new topic." You can also use the search bar to search for your topic or question to see if it's already been answered.
To start a new album, you have to have the paid ace membership. I do not see that badge next to your name. The regular unpaid membership allows only one album.
Took this today and I'm rather pleased with it. It's what I actually set out to photograph today; so far it's not often that my intended subject actually turns out well enough to be what I end up posting for the day!
I know that it's probably here (and EVERYWHERE else!!) this week, but I can't think of anything more stunning than this shot by our pal Northy @northy. I might want to grow up to be Northy! ;->
Snowed in today and lacking and real creative ideas so it's a simple shot of the stove. I tried to make it more interesting by turning the burners on and getting them red but one isn't working and the other had something on it .... then the fire alarm when off ....several times!
I had 3 monochrome shots this week - go figure. This is my favorite of the week, though. Liked the shot and had a great day with a great friend to boot!
I was pleased with a couple of my B&Ws this week and couldn't decide which one to share here, but I don't have to decide now because they were already posted on this thread by others! Thanks for the shout-outs Diana (@medusa) and Jenn (@shutterbugger) ... !!! :-)
Here's my black & white! When I do black & white photographs I aim at making them look like vintage black and white! This was my second attempt at it I think.

Tried a selfie and B&W this week.
