Floating Marigold

Hasn't worked, best of the bunch of 50 tries!!
@ziggy77 you make this genre of photography look easy and it really isn't!! Any tips or advice to have improved on tis welcome please!!

@carole_sandford the surface tension between petals and water. Brightness post editing as the Pyrex dish was surprisingly blue!!!

Very nice colour. Not sure exactly how Jo achieves some of her pictures but I would think that the water is very shallow. More like a film of water than a bowlful.

An interesting idea. It must still work in quite deep water because we get the effect in a very pronounced way on the water lily leaves in the dam. They have quite a waxy coating - a waxy flower might work better??

Would be interesting to see original. As may have lost a little detail in brightening also angle to flower for surface tension

@megpicatilly wow! so it is, thank you!! Background achieved by pyrex dish on white card and then changing exposure by sliding bar on edit of computer!!
