W is for Water Droplets

The t'interweb lady made this look straight forward, there was even a photo of how she set it up in her kitchen- my kind of studio!! She lied!!! This is cropped - a lot!
Why is nothing straight forward?!!!! It all looks so easy, but....! This is wonderful - just love it. Not going to even ask how you did it because I know I wouldn't be able to get anywhere close to this! FAV

Came out great -- your background is stellar and you caught its reflection in the droplet really well!

@megpicatilly chopping board covered in cat's blanket stood up in sink, wedged up with washing up bowl. Tripod, His camera, flashgun, anglepoise lamp, run water to focus, slow down water to dribbling drops, camera on burst, (but flashgun not synchronised so every other photo dark!) and hope for the best. Thanks for that fav!!! Oh did enough drops to fill bowl by 1/3 so watered tomato plants with it!
@taffy Thank you, good old blanket.

Tomorrow just going to poin and click with good old trusty little camera!!

Doesn't it just take the biscuit when 'demonstrators' make it look easy-peasy? The droplet is astral!

I know exactly what you were going for and this did turn out really cool. It just takes looooots of time and patience to get it juuuust right. I really love the colors of your background.

I had to laugh at your commentary because that's how I feel about those oil and water shots! I think you took at least 50.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you - would never have guessed the background was a blanket! Really should give this sort of shot a go - probably holding back because I am certain it will not work for me!!

@megpicatilly if it does not work people here are so generous with advice or tips ( or don't admit to it by not uploiading it!!). Just off to check cat's blanket now dry!!!
