Actually I think you inadvertently did follow the rule of thirds! At any rate your use of color has made this a spectacular photo And on black just accents the gorgeous light
@merrelyn thank you @robz I wanted to show off the field, interestingly @randystreat Kathy would prefer it not there! @haskar it's what I wanted @shutterbug49 didn't realise I'd broken rules until uploaded @grammyn on second look I think you're right @randystreat I wanted to show off that gorgeous field and not just have the poppies @fbailey so to see 4 in one view was amazing @dutchothotmailcom but they help mostly @koalagardens to thanks @amyk Oh yeah!!! @happysnaps they were glorious! Common in my childhood less so now @365anne many up your way in East Anglia?? @Weezilou I grinned- a lot!!! @quietpurplehaze not far from mottisfont! @sunnygirl thank you @carole_sandford that was field two, I was in field one @wakelys no deer or ladybirds though @sarah19 but seeds very hardy
I like this although I do agree with Kathy slightly that the field of poppies in the background draws my eyes away from the poppies in the foreground but I feel to totally crop it out would flatten the picture. I do like the flow between the foreground and background. I might try cropping the sky out so that the poppy field is the edge of the picture.
Very pretty
