Y is for Yellow Monochrome

Storm Francis flattened my sunflowers, so before I put them in a vase I refracted them.

This is totally nicked with permission from Jean, and her's is soooooooooooooo much better.

Another view on the Darkroom's Page of my poor shattered sunflower
@jernst1779 Thank you for the inspiration

Awesome!

This is cleverly composed. I'm glad you can enjoy your sunflowers for a little longer inside and that they weren't completely ruined by the weather.

what a cool effect

This is a bit hard to see due to the darkness of the image, on my monitor anyway. From what I can see, I like how you were able to get so much of the flower refracted.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond You may not think so, but I like it! A 365 friend told me back in 2011, that the best photos are taken when the photographer has an emotional connection with the subject. It's the same with the viewer. I made an immediate emotional connection with your photo - reminded me of happier childhood days and playing with a glass sphere similar to the one in your photos - especially with the flower.
