My maternal great-grandparents in a locket that was an engagment token. It's engraved with thier initials on the obverse, the side that would be closest to her heart when she wore it. Sadly they were married for only 3 years.
I wore the locket on my wedding day, it was my 'old' and my 'borrowed'.
Love this and so happy you are in possession of this treasure. Fav (if i could give it more than 1 fav I would). Wear it in good health as my dear aunt would always say.
