I knew this was Bosham before I looked at the title.it is one of my favourite places. I grew up just down the road in Southbourne and have many memories. Not least King Canute!
Here's another fact for you -
King Canute ( he of stopping the tide fame) has a daughter buried in the church ( allegedly)
If any of you visit the central part of the South of England I'll take you to Bosham ( pronounced Bozzum) and we can tour the church, harbour and nicky-nacky-noo shops and galleries
King Canute is not completely strange to my ears. But nicky-nacky-noo... i have no idea what it means, but i love how it sounds.
I'll check the dictionary...
@monikozi a "knick knack" is an inessential object, found in gift or souvenir shops, galleries and antique/ junk stores!! Often called Dust Collectors or in our family nicky nacky noos!
