Bosham by 30pics4jackiesdiamond

Bosham

Bosham is the only English town to be named on the Bayeux Tapestry,
I didn't know that. Looks like a nice place.

Thank you all so much for visiting and comments!

Here's another fact for you -
King Canute ( he of stopping the tide fame) has a daughter buried in the church ( allegedly)

If any of you visit the central part of the South of England I'll take you to Bosham ( pronounced Bozzum) and we can tour the church, harbour and nicky-nacky-noo shops and galleries
June 29th, 2021
King Canute is not completely strange to my ears. But nicky-nacky-noo... i have no idea what it means, but i love how it sounds.
I'll check the dictionary...
June 29th, 2021
@monikozi a "knick knack" is an inessential object, found in gift or souvenir shops, galleries and antique/ junk stores!! Often called Dust Collectors or in our family nicky nacky noos!
June 29th, 2021
@30pics4jackiesdiamond that's why i didn't find it in the dictionary...
I like nicky nacky noo better :)
