I very nearly trod on this dragonfly who was crawling on the grass. I scooped her up on the trowel, popped her in a container and carried her across the road to a friend who has a pond (but obvs did her portrait first for today's tiny subject prompt!)
A face only a mother could love. If I put human qualities on animal/insect life, the face on this one looks very sad. Those big eyes and "mouth" drooping.
