Julieanne Kost, Digital Imaging Evangelist (!!) was guest speaker at Camera Club and talked about different ways she uses PhotoShop. One of her 'things' is to make a montage of the colours of a place, and we were challenged to emulate her work.
I have 'done' the colours of the Firth of Forth Bridges, a walk in my neighbourhood and the Hospital of St Cross. Today's one, at St Cross I did from memory, not following instructions, and added my own twist.
for more information on her work she has a huge website
She also makes mandalas, one of which I've copied and uploaded here and not only does she do a photo a day, she does a triptych a day!!!
Very clever & cool technique! Very well done. I took a quick look at the DIE's website and concept you have highlighted in your photo. It is an interesting concept which I will have to consider some more!
What an interesting and creative way to use photography. Each one of these is beautiful in its own way I think I like the coloring in the top one the best but I do like your creative twist in the bottom one as well
Re-reading your text, I guess I could have a stab at a triptych a day, given the overflow I have of current photos! Always something to look forward to!!
@quietpurplehaze or a quadtic?!! @haskar her work is beautiful @joysabin thank you joy @shutterbug49 time consuming and fiddly @ljmanning and use 20 photos!!! @randystreat oh please do! @kjarn I've never thought about the colours I photographed before!! @pcoulson thank you Peter @salza you'll manage them easily!! Bet colours of your mountains are gorgeous @grammyn top one is mainly the rusty railbridge at night!! @wakelys time consuming, fiddly, fortunately someone had devised a system for affinity and written idiot proof instructions ( Kost only does PShop!) Middle is colours of Langstone and Southmore!! @koalagardens bet your colours would be striking @ajisaac oh do!! And please share the outcome @theredcamera Ellen, wish I'd attended live, I kept putting the replay off as it all looked so difficult but very kind Affinity users shared their "ways". Not doing any more now!
