@randystreat I stand corrected. I knew it was different from the standard magnolia. As I am a transplant to Alabama I should have said in Alabama it is called that and for all I know maybe just in the town I live in! ;~} Thanks Kathy
@grammyn I grew up in Pennsylvania and a tulip tree to me is a tulip poplar. I didn't intend to sound like I was correcting you. I've been to Alabama several times. I like where I went.

Oooops. Well now I feel foolish, it is indeed a mangolia tree. I saw pink, remembered my promise to @homeschoolmom and clicked. Uploaded after back from londin assumed ( which we ALL know makes an Ass out of U and Me!) it was cherry as it's out down here.
Thank you for your comments
@maggiemae Chelsea has, Georgian, Victorian, Art Deco and 1960s buildings all in one small area. The Physic Garden we visited dates in part to 1600s so the wall was even older than the surrounding high-rise buildings.
@randystreat i didn't take it that way, no worries Kathy @30pics4jackiesdiamond For all I know it could have been called something different where you live that is the joy of having these global connections!
@grammyn here where I live in NC it's called a tulip magnolia.
