Bluebells by 30pics4jackiesdiamond

Bluebells

My long-suffering husband took me out today to hunt for bluebells. We didn't find a wood, but a small copse, and most of them were past their best. I've never seen so much wild garlic in one place though!! If I'd been hunting them I'd have been ecstatic

I may do a collage for tomorrow!!
They look so delicate.

Quality not quantity. Just as lovely as an abundance of bluebells.

I'd be thrilled to come across these! And doesn't wild garlic also have a pretty flower?

All of the beautiful bluebell shots that I've been seeing on 365 prompted me to go out and buy some bulbs. I hope they'll bloom :)

@roachling phew!!!

It's very easy to tell them apart by appearance. Spanish bluebells lack the smell too, this will help you in future :)

@roachling thank you, Spanish look a bit hyacinthish!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond yes I always think that too. They do sometimes hybridise too so you can get bluebells that look like a mix of the two!
