Arnica challenged me to take a photograph of my favourite dish, and we're not having a roast this weekend after all!
My second favourite dish is anything I have not planned, cooked or need to clear up after. These bread pudding slabs arrived by courier as a gift for the birthday boy and were shared with friends at a socially distanced tea-party in their garden. They are on my favourite glass dish too.

Ooh yum. This has brought back some memories. Used to love stodgy sticky bread pudding as kid as my nan used to buy it for us. Haven't seen any for donkey's years and I don't suppose we can even get it in NZ. Probably just as well as it wouldn't be any good for my dodgy ticker. Hope the birthday boy enjoyed them - happy birthday to him.
