Twenty Years Earlier

Sue gave me these for my fortieth! I disappointed her because I loved them immediately and still enjoy wearing them, they're still in good condition 😊

Inspired by this gift today!! https://365project.org/30pics4jackiesdiamond/365/2020-07-16
How lovely.

Words like "still" imply that you didn't just turn forty yesterday? I like how you photographed them with the flower

they are so sweet!

Disappointed her? Why? Were they a joke present? I love them too. Used to have a pair similar to this actually lol!

@casablanca I don’t have pierced ears so don’t appreciate the finer detail of earnings. There was only one person that I knew who would wear such things. So Jackie became the lucky recipient. I am that friend.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond -- Ha! I didn't like being 20. I looked too young to be credible as a teacher and parents (and later my college students) would not place much confidence in me. I felt so credible when I turned 30. Even 40 wasn't bad. But decades later . . . I'd choose to go back to 40. I like my life in my 40s and 50s. When I turned 60 my life went spinning and I will never recover.

explanatory second posts are ok :-) I've got some fuchsia earrings, but they're quite different - must look them out (they are much older than 20! (but who's counting?))
