Our morning walk is turning into a parade! David & Billy have company from Petersboro, Ontario, Peggy & her daughter Adrianne, who joined us today. Adrianne has a horse at home and wanted to meet Mica...can you tell Mica was immediately attracted to her, too? Martha, who boards the horses, came out to chat with us and did the photo honors so we all could be in the picture together.
This was another full day! Ken golfed before our walk & then went to a bi-monthly mens' luncheon. Anna Ludlow, the fiddler in my photo a week or so back http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2010-08-02 was their waitress, & Ken told her I'd used her picture; she asked me to send her the link. Also at lunch was our "Captain", Alan, and he asked us to go sailing again this afternoon. He and Ken did all the sail-raising stuff & I sat at the tiller the entire afternoon. The highlight came as we were heading back to port and we spotted a half dozen porpoises a short distance away and we watched them for about ten minutes! What a sight! I got one picture of a fin, but I quickly realized it was more fun to just enjoy the experience!
Every morning I wake up wondering what I'll take a picture of for the day. By evening I wonder which one to use!
how i would love to be part of that 'parade'!! so fun!! and mica does seem to be giving adrianne a little nuzzle!!
i love that you enjoyed your sailing experience today--sometimes as the family 'photographer' i'm so concerned about CAPTURING the moment that i don't EXPERIENCE it!! (:
Such fun! I love horses too....Been scrolling through your posts as well! Looks like you have been completely enjoying your 2nd home in Lunenberg......p.s....I really really liked the photo of the front of your home along with the artists painting...fantastic!
What a wonderful photo, Louise!!! I love the smiles on your faces!! ;-) Mica is definitely in good company ;-)) Sounds like you had another full day! it's great when the day brings surprises and more new and unique experiences! Thank you so much for the birthday wishes!!! You are so sweet to put me in your calendar!!! ;-))) I am so happy to have all of you my amazing 365 friends!!! ;-))) This will definitely be a special birthday!! I am off to bed now with a BIG smile on my face ;-)) you are next, fellow Leo ;-)))
Great group photo! I love how Mica looks like he's about to give Adrianne a kiss.
The Contessa 26 is a really pretty boat, and she looks like she'd be fun to sail. I'm so jealous you got to see porpoises! We sail in a fairly protected cove, so we usually only see the odd seal or two.
Oh my gosh, what wonderfully full days you have. I can't imagine the many photo opps you run across on one of your typical days. Sure beat the heck out of routine...routine...routine.
BTW - Chimom is home! I ran into her on the elevator last night. However, she is having a terrible time retrieving all the photos off of her SDcard. Either it's that, or her computer, but she's devastated at the thought of possibly losing them. Yikes!!
awwww I love this! That horse does really like her. :)
Sooo exciting to see porpoises! I know how we love to capture everything on camera, but so glad you got to enjoy the moment and just put the camera aside. there are days when I have to do that too. :)
been missing ya! sorry I've been so out of the loop!!!!
Than you for your comment Louise,The piece of furniture is a Coffer its a storage box with a box inside that used to be used for storing candles. It has the yr 1668 and the initials W B carved on it.
Just been looking at the link you put up about the flash mob dancing photograph (mango flamingo) Doesn't it always look fun at those events! Interesting information about your family in that area too. Every where I go here, you've popped in before me and spread your love and interest around. :-)
God Bless you , Louise, you are living your life to the fullest..........with lots of good friends along for the ride! I'm happy for you. I love your title on this one.

Hope you have a great day, Louise! :)
I've tried taking pictures of dolphins on several occasions - never with any success. You're right - sometimes we just need to enjoy the experience!
