I'm taking an easy out and sharing what I've found about the show on the Internet...
"The picturesque town of Lunenburg, N.S., is providing the backdrop for a new TV series based on a Stephen King story.
Lunenburg's Old Town district, first settled in 1753, is on UNESCO's World Heritage site list.
Thirteen one-hour episodes have been ordered, with the show being aired on Global TV in Canada and on Syfy in the U.S."
Additionally, I found this premise of the story...
"Deep in the heart of Maine, Haven is a town where people with supernatural abilities have migrated for generations because it mutes their powers, allowing them to lead normal lives. At least, until recently. When hot-shot FBI agent Audrey Parker is called to Haven to solve the murder of a local ex-con, she catches the killer but uncovers a much deeper mystery about this town. Each week, as the town-peoples' dormant powers begin to express themselves, Audrey will try to keep these supernatural forces at bay while unraveling the many mysteries of Haven - including one surrounding her own surprising past in this extraordinary place."
I've watched some of the shows, and it's fun to see our town. Has anyone else watched some of it?
And one last thing, our friend, Billy, is celebrating a birthday... **Happy Birthday** Darlin'!
wow I love the collage!
this show sounds really interesting! I've never heard of it until you mentioned it here, but I'll have to check it out on youtube or hulu sometime. :)
thanks for sharing! :D
I've seen bits and pieces of the show. You wondered if we were vacationing in our hiking pics.....well we are lucky to have that scenery right in our back yard! And as a matter of fact...we live just a half hour away from Stephen King.
love this collage, and loved hearing more about the show! i'm going to look it up on the guide. perhaps if they knew of your super-photo-taking-power, they'd make a spot for you on the show!! (:
I haven't heard of this show either, although I do love S. King. I will have to check it out. Happy Birthday to your friend Billy ! Nice collage, Louise.
I love SK books and tele-series made from them. Kingdom Hospital was my favourite one in the past and it had a huge cast of famous people in it (like Henry Rollins).
I have heard that Haven is being made in Maine, but didn't know where, and now I'm looking forward to seeing it come to our screens at some point next year (or if ever!) in the future.
I'll definitely be tracking it down. What fun. Is it ok to tell people i know someone who lives in that town? Not quite as impressive as being there first hand but I think it will still get me some impressive points!
The whole process sounds interesting. I've never had the time when I've seen movie crews set up around town - maybe some day I'll have a chance to watch the process.
That's really neat. How cool to see your town on the screen, but under a different name....sounds like something very neat to watch take place. I shall look this series up and see for myself!
ooh sounds like an interesting story. Nice collage! Thats awesome that you live in a UNESCO town. I niavely thought there weren't many of them in the US. I always seek those out when I travel.
How interesting! Thank you. Wish I had more internet access but have limited myself to buying just an hour a day.... not enough time to look at and comment on everyone's photographs. Check in as frequently as I can!
My husband is hooked on that show--he really likes it. I don't really watch TV but I've caught a glimpse of it now and again--it looks interesting. I'm surprised they aren't shooting it in Bangor, Maine. Isn't that where all his stories are based? (: That's neat that you are in a hot-spot of movie filming!!
will have to see if I can watch it on the internet, have never heard of it but I would love to see your town (or at least more of your town since you do a pretty good job as tour guide hahaha) The collage was a great way of telling us the story
hi Louise. those appreciative words and encouragement you left is very much appreciated. its with people like you that's making this community a norturing and inspiring one. i really felt your kind heart in expressing every thought you have in every word you share. again, thank you.
Haven't see the show, but would wonder what the juxtaposition of scenery that make it to the screen. Tucson had many TV shows filmed there, a lawyer show in particular. Leave the court room and the court house steps were four blocks away. :-)
Re: comment--I'm not sure what he watches, actually! I'll ask him about that one. I'm an early to bed person and he's a night owl, so he watches shows I've never heard of (plus, like I said, I don't really watch much TV.)
Hey, Louise, sorry I have missed seeing so many of your recent shots but today I was over at Chris's page and saw his 30th reunion collage...I thought the guy with him in the lower right hand corner looks like he could be a brother of Ken's!!!
Re - today's photo...interesting and nothing wrong with taking it easy every once in awhile ;-)
OK, this is funny because last night Tina and I were randomly talking about Maine. Then she said if we go there maybe we'll see Stephen King...and then I see your post! I know how fun it is to have the film crew there. Thanks for sharing :)
Hope you and Tamara had a nice visit...I just love how people have this strong urge to meet...I almost met up with Kerri26 in July when she was in Virginia for a wedding but then my friend got sick and I had to cancel ;-(
Sounds interesting! I love recognizing buildings/landmarks in tv/movies. When I saw that it was a story from Stephen King, set in Maine, I thought it would be "Under the Dome:, because I'm currently reading it, and thought that would be great coincidence.
Is it being aired now, or in the future?
Finally catching up here....Happy Belated Birthday to Billy!! :-)
Have seen lots of commercials for the show (and shots of Lunenberg), but haven't been able to catch an episode yet....and I love the premise. Right up my alley!
Louise would you know whether part of "Knight and Day" was filmed in Lunenberg? I saw the film recently & swear that the opening chase scene was going down the hill to the harbour! :D

Hope your last days of summer are amazing !
