On a whim I shot this photo because that little raccoon makes me smile, and that's a great way to start the day. Little did I know the sky would open up and, though we were out running errands, there was no place I could take an outdoor picture...so here's all I've got at the end of the day!
A local artist cuts these silhouettes from old steel drums, and I'm just nuts for them! Over several years I've bought cats, a jack-o'lantern, and a lamb. Around town, I've seen several cats in other people's windows, so I suppose I'm not the only one who finds them charming.
This is very cute. I like this. One of the houses in my neighborhood has a black cat....and at first I thought it was real. Then, the next day I would leave...and see it there and smile. Then, I realized that it wasn't real....but I still look for it and it makes me smile.
@bradsworld I hadn't put two and two together...we have tracks to the back door most nights...
Nice to see you again! Wish I could have joined you all in HB!
this is totally charming and I love the angle you shot it at. :) I just wanted to thank you for your kind words... we are far enough from the fires to only be able to see the smoke clouds, but we were driving home the first day they started and you could see the blazes. It is crazy dry around here. I'm glad you are sharing your photos again. LOVE stopping by and chatting with you. Sending lots of hugs your way! xoxo
