Montague House by Erma Walker

Since Allison Williams posted her photo paired with the Plein Air painting, http://365project.org/allie912/365/2012-06-25 I was inspired by her to share an oil painting I bought a few years ago and the artist's vantage point. The artist's interpretation is a bit more romanticized than the actual house.

Paint Sea on Site, our weekend of Plein Air painting, will take place in July, and it's a wonderful opportunity to watch artists at work and to buy art painted locally.

That's cool! Great collage

Cool... one of our wedding gifts was a really nice painting of the venue (which the guy who bought it then went and dropped it as he was proudly showing everyone his great purchase...haha)

Pride comes before a fall :-)

I like your collage..now do I understand it correct..these are done by two different artist? or only one and the other you processed to look like the second one?

@bruni The top picture is my photograph of the house. The bottom is the oil painting I bought a few years ago. It was interesting to me to see the artistic license the painter took in interpreting the house!

That event must be quite the experience, and the oil is fabulous. Loved the baby photo. I had to comment on him.
