2 Km From Lunenburg & a Million Miles from Southern California!
We've been told it's been our good fortune that flowers are blooming late this year, and so it is with the wild lupines that I adore! After a cup of coffee, we headed over to a country lane where lupines are abundant and we gathered an armload! I followed the relaxing hum of a fat bumble bee, trying to capture a photo...got a few...no prize winners, but worth a try on another day! This picture of the lane, a roller coaster dirt road, is the sort of memory I'll look back on years from now, so I'm sharing this aspect of South Shore Nova Scotia with you, too.
We were up in Bar Harbor, ME a few weeks back and were delighted to see them everywhere up there growing wild! We'd never been up there in June before, so we'd never had the pleasure before.
@rangerxenos Bar Harbor is a lovely place to visit! I hadn't thought of it, but of course the lupines would be prevalent You'd have to pay a fortune for a bouquet that big & pretty from a florist!!
Beautiful scene Louise. Thank you for sharing. I love the way you painted the picture with your story, I could imagine you following a bumble bee with camera raised to your eye.
