With so many open slots I haven't had time to fill, why not share the group that met us at the door the morning we arrived home... Those who've spent some time with me know I entertain Freeloaders in the hope of a photo or two in exchange.
There have been some changes... Shortly before we left for Nova Scotia last summer, our kitty, Spooky, passed away quite suddenly; I was glad to still be here with him at the last. Only the week before we arrived home, the tree outside our back door fell down in the heavy rainstorm, so it was removed before we returned. ***** It was "Frosty's" tree (our wild-but-tame squirrel) and I haven't seen her yet, but I have every confidence that she'll return. ***** We still have "Pink", our indoor kitty...she's fat as a butterball! Someone has been indulging her...and she gets zero exercise! The ducks returned quite early this year, and have no trouble bossing the cats around! And finally, the little hummer was flitting amongst the branches above her nesting spot, as if to say, "Don't forget me!"
I think (or like to hope) I was missed... I missed them, too :)
Oh my goodness Louise :) ... just don't feed the racoons too! You sure have lots of critters glad to see you home. Love the look of that kitty in the bottom middle photo. Glad to hear the ducks boss the cats, and normally hummers stay high up so all should be good.
What a delightful welcoming committee! Of course they missed you (besides the TLC, they know where their bread is buttered!) So sorry about Spooky. I hope Frosty returns soon ... keep us posted.

I just got a photo of Pink tonight laying in front of the Christmas tree...they all seem to love trees! Of course she looks like little more than a chubby black blob, but she's *our* chubby little black blob! (Won't linger and must stay focused...making a card for a man who turns 90 on the first and I have to get it sent to Canada... ) ...until later :)

@brigette never went shopping for a one of them! The two in the chair have been with us for years...the darling grey kitties are healthy looking and I'm sure they belong in the neighbourhood...just drop in for the eats... The Pinto kitty is always quite lean looking and I don't know about him, but I feed him as well as I can, and he's less skittish than the others, which is nice. Somewhere in my anglo-saxon heritage, I must have had the proverbial ethnic mother who wants everyone to eat well!

What a wonderful collage! Some of the photos had me chuckling, like that one of the kitty in the center, bottom row. Lovely photos, each, especially the hummingbird!

A happy "Gift" at 1 this afternoon was Frosty who ran down a tree trunk to greet me! I was amazed and delighted! She entertained all of us, including the grandsons who enjoyed feeding her and yes, of course I have lots of photos...to add to the bazillion I took of the kids Christmas morning!
