Santa's Helper

(On to our "Next Round of Christmas" with the California Crew!)

Ashton called from home before they arrived yesterday to ask if he could put the star on top of the tree. As per his request the tree was decked with lights and waiting for him...the star went up immediately! Next stop, a swim, before going to a friend's annual Hanukkah party. (Our "Thanksgiving For 61" was "small" compared to last night's crowd, but the weather is warm enough that the patio was like another big entertainment room.)

Today we asked Ashton if he'd like to decorate the tree, and he fairly took over! At Four, he demonstrated that he could adeptly add the hooks, climb the step ladder and hang everything. Suits me! You can see from his expression that he took his task seriously!

I knew the spirits would soar with the family's arrival...Happy Happy Again :)
