While 12 hours later my traveling guest is still asleep, I thought I seize the minute to show you what she always brings me (because I love them so!) I ate one, gave Ken one, and then set this up to photograph! Ken and I had a bit of a tussle over suggesting he "wait!" for another until I got my picture!
I've bought many imitations looking for another as good as these, but when you're in Oz, pick up a package... They're deliciously decadent!
(Ken's off now, buying champagne and a birthday cake to have a little dessert tonight for Enid and friends of ours she's met over the years. See why I wanted to get something posted early?!)
@salza soft layer of white mint over a crisp chocolate cookie, drenched in chocolate... Yep... Looking around the world to see who else might have something like this on the store shelves... South Africa?
A true Aussie icon that tastes delicious :) Enid sounds like a wonderful thoughtful friend! So pleased you are giving her champagne and cake to go with the mint slices :) Happy birthday to Enid.
@panthora I promise you "one"... OMG...you and Eenie would turn Oz on its ear! (She was telling me today about the Wallaby Family on her property! Big roos, too!)
What a delicious display of treats from Australia. Wouldn't it be great if you could taste pictures. Trust you enjoyed the Champagne and birthday cake.
