What We Didn't Foresee 14 Years Ago ...

(Posting on 8-18 as I play "catch up"!)

It was 14 years ago tomorrow (August 19) that we signed the papers and this house was ours! I loved the open view and didn't mind the sounds of children in the park. I didn't dream how wonderful it would be to have a playground "in our front yard" for the grandkids! Heather & Tina had just arrived with Bodhi & Hazel, and a little playtime was a reward for being good plane travelers earlier in the day.

This day was the beginning of a wonderful 16 days of Family Time ... and I had little-to-no-time to post photos! I'll be at this for awhile!
Wonderful house, smart decision!!

What a wonderful shot. The action is timed perfectly and the little heart on the post just ties it all together as if it is describing the scene and your family. I love it! :)

OMG, thanks to @hbdaly for pointing out that sweet little heart which is just the icing on the cake! Love the story this picture tells.

@hbdaly @allie912 As you can see, it was Ken who took the photo. At that time I still couldn't walk down the steep front steps! My first thought was why he hadn't dodged that post for a different angle, and then I, too, saw the heart and loved it! Since then I've seen several chalked on locations around town. I'm glad you noticed it as well, as I think now that it's a sweet addition to the photo!

@bkbinthecity Thank you so much! Yes...the papers were signed on my birthday all those years ago, and one daughter had her wedding on our back deck 8 years ago. Now the house is filled with cribs, toys and little people and it's a very happy home!

Such a sweet photo all around. The tiny heart, genuine laughter, your amazing self in the background with that gorgeous house. Thanks for sharing this happy memory. Until next time!! xoxo (and thank you for always keeping us in your guest book- one day I promise!).
