Until coming to Canada, I never realized how quickly the colors of Autumn can go from muted to brilliant...literally, overnight! This morning I knew that today was the day of high colour, so we planned to go out at 4 this afternoon for a photo shoot. It was incredibly rewarding! Around every bend I thought, "THIS could be the photo!"...and then came another. As we approached this lake ("Mush-a-Mush", the name), the most remarkable sight appeared before us! There was a flat-bed wagon with a couple driving two beautiful, muscular horses! I took a couple of photos as we passed and called out to them, "Are you just out for a ride?" Clearly they were! I'm getting ahead of myself as I'll post one of those tomorrow.
Though I'm exhausted tonight, I came to this photo and I thought it represented our afternoon beautifully! It's not posed; I'm always lagging behind, photographing the forest floor and the dying, rust-coloured ferns. When I looked up, the silhouette was wonderful!
And to think that while we chased the colours of Autumn in their golden-brown and yellow beauty, I've picked "Blue and Black" for my first-favourite photo of the day!
sounds like you had a wonderful time with so many photo opportunities. I absolutely LOVE the colours and silhouettes in this one. It makes me feel relaxed just looking at it. would love to sit there watching the light disappear.
It sounds like you had a wonderful Canadian Thanksgiving day. All the best to you both and I look forward to seeing more of your colourful shots soon. You captured the perfect moment to represent your day Louise. :)
Hope you did had a nice Thanks giving day. Great shot of the photographer and the beautiful landscape he get`s pic.`s off. Fav view.
I do have a toadstool pic. book but it`s very difficult to recognize them from it . And many of them are looking the same.
What a great capture of Ken taking pictures! Such a wonderful scenery beyond....you are there at the absolutely most perfect time of the year, and there is absolutely no reason for you to even be thinking about California right now where we are all annoyed at the never ending summer combined with all the heat and humidity of Florida!
A beautiful image Louise! Ken perfectly framed by the trees and that gorgeous backdrop! Sounds like the perfect day to me! We seem to be very late getting the autumn colours here in the UK! Fav!
