I'm predicting all of us members of 365 reporting from Southern California are here to tell you about the rain and thunder we had today! Why, we have "Autumn Leaves" and "Rain" (like everyone else!)
For this moment at least, we won't be looked upon as "California: In the Midst of a Drought"!
This is so lovely! The colors and the glisten on the leaves from the rain is so beautiful! Well needed rain I am sure. We will be heading back south in February, so hope this isn't a pattern. Don't know if we will make it to the coast, but it is always on MY list! It's a longer and more expensive trip..but maybe if I am really good I'll get my way!!
@eyesmile Oh Gena , you just know that now there are A LOT of us who want you to hail us when you come down this way! If you're not "on the coast", how far inland will you be? Please do keep in touch!
It's been a crazy El Niño winter. Water, water everywhere. We had the wettest December on record in NC. Love your colorful rainfall photo. Be safe and enjoy the January rain.
You know it doesn't rain much in your area when everyone posts pictures featuring rain. We all are doing it! And when January is considered autumn it just underscores what a unique place we live in. Great capture Louise!
@stray_shooter Like you marveling over your beer-glass photo... You and I both know you can bust your butt for "that good photo" that garners little attention, and this shot happened as I sat at the computer and noticed the leaves on the table just outside. Slap-Dash and it's on the PP! I suppose I learned long ago that it's the Intuitive Art that sometimes steps up front-and-center stage!
Lovely glossy red leaves! Enjoy the rain while you have it. We are having so much rain here in the UK this winter that there has been terrible floods all over the country. So sad for the people who have had their homes ruined - especially at Christmas! I am hoping for some crisp bright cold days to get out with my camera!
Well, the good news is this might be the end of the drought. We get a little snow and then rain this weekend and then snow the middle of next week. Snow - rain. Which would you prefer. You don't have to shovel rain.
