El Niño Lurking in the Distance! by Weezilou

El Niño Lurking in the Distance!

On this date I’d spent my time scanning old photos, so I came away with four pictures of the clouds approaching sunset. I’d far rather capture weather conditions like this at the beach, but traffic is heavy at this time of day, even though the distance isn’t far. The weather forecasters have been sending dire warnings to prepare for El Niño, but, as of January 21st, as I post this, there hasn’t been much precipitation. Never say never...it could happen yet!
Powerful sky capture.

Ooooo moody and fine!

Wonderfully dark moody shot Louise, the clouds could easily be smoke. As for El Nino, the effect is certainly biting here. Some parts of Oz are getting deluges, other parts zip.

Yep, could just as easily be a wildfire. This is better.

@stray_shooter I really hadn't looked at it that way, but it would be quite horrible and horrifying if it was one!

Wow, where are you that you haven't gotten much rain. Boy I have been watching flooding and dire rains all over the country and there is a large blizzard happening in the east. You must be in one of the few dry spots.
