Ken and I went to the local Farmer's Market this morning which pales by comparison to the bustling one held weekly in Lunenburg. However, as we walked in, I was immediately drawn to the music, and at the break, met and chatted with Dan and Susan of "Sweetwater Creek Band". Often with a 3rd person, they play traditional Bluegrass, Folk & Gospel, and it transported us at the same time it delighted us to find this close to home! We got lots of good information from them, and will look for them again soon. We think they'd be a wonderful fit at Folk Harbour Festival one upcoming summer. Anything's possible...
@teiko How funny you should say that, as I thanked my friend & neighbor for the same compliment yesterday! She read me a book quite to the effect that "Strangers are only people I haven't met..." I just find people so interesting...*everyone* has a story! I love hearing about them! Look at 365 and the opportunity we've had through the years to learn a great deal about the people we've met here! Photography was a fabulous jump-start!
Love blue grass music. Great portrait of them and would love here the music. It is such a family oriented music genre. We have gone to blue grass festivals and so enjoyed that aspect as much as the music.
Lovely captures! I love the way you attract people as well as animals Louise! You are a special person who can talk to anyone and make them feel special! This is a gift! Love blue grass music!
Isn't it great to find music you like, and it's free, and then meet the people that play it? I see you are a talker, like me. My husband tells me all the time that one day I will get in trouble talking to people I don't know!! I always say "How can I if you're with me?" He just shakes his head. He knows I talk to everyone. These two look like quite friendly and fun people! Great portraits of them both! FAV!
