A quick photo for the day... Always with my camera along, I only went out to get oranges for a morning smoothie. We've picked over a dozen avocados to ripen for the patio party on Sunday.
Can't wait for my little Bodhi to pronounce his favorite,
"Gua-ca-MO-lee"!
@pyrrhula Truly, Ferry, we never take this pleasure for granted! We have 14 fruit-bearing trees in the yard, and we use as much as we can! We'd give lots to friends, but out here, most people don't know what to do with all that grows in their yard, either!
Lucky you to have access to foods this fresh, and your picture is so beautiful with that dazzling bokeh! Your great close-up really shows the neat texture of the avocado. FAV!

@tunia One of my daughters, in Chicago, winges that the avocados are so small and pricy at that! It's a forgone conclusion that she'll return home on the 22nd with a suitcase-full!
@taffy ...remember what I said... YOU get the glorious big city! ...I get a backyard filled with fresh fruit in a suburban neighborhood! (I'll load up a suitcase-full of what's left when I come in May!)
I am so jealous! We used to have avocados, lemons and oranges in our garden Zimbabwe, now I have to pay pretty much £1 for a decent avo! I love you DOF and the bokeh in this image.
