Our second day back in Lunenburg and a Sunday drive led us to a marvelous barn-full of antiques and then the all-important flowers for the garden. Unlike California, buying flowers up here is very seasonal and only lasts 2-3 months. We bought two baskets for out front just like those in the upper left, and walked through three green houses picking out new plants and several herbs for the yard. Ken, knowing he'll have to plant it all, has his limitations, while I want to buy everything with a bloom on it! Only recently I heard a great term for it... "Flower Addiction"!
After the winter snows have passed, I think that's rather prevalent up here!
Beautiful image...you composed it so well! Those baskets are so pretty...I'll bet they look great where you put them. Ooo, I definitely have a flower addiction! :-) I can always find room for one more plant!
This is exactly what I have been doing this week! Visiting the garden centres spending my birthday vouchers plus a lot more money! I too cannot resist buying beautiful plants. We now have four new hanging baskets and have given some new life to our tubs. The trouble is I don't have a "Ken" to do the planting! Lol! My question is shy do the weeds grow where I cannot get the plants to grow? A never ending war! I love being in the garden just pottering! Fav!
