...and so it begins...

By all accounts, a less-than exciting photograph, but as a part of a photo journal, a base-line marker. Flying into Nova Scotia, there were large patches of bare trees, but our friend said to just wait two weeks and everything would fill in. As I post this, 3 weeks later, I can't see the houses on the street behind us for the canopy of leaves! Once again we have a beautifully private yard filled in with lots of greenery, and almost daily we walk around, noting new blooms on the plants.

I now understand why so many people really love the change of seasons. I like it, especially leaving before the winter snow and returning after the spring thaw!
I'm experiencing the same new growth process here at Lake Winnipeg! And yes, I feel the same about leaving before the winter snow and returning after the spring thaw. I certainly do love experiencing the beautiful autumn here in Manitoba, which we don't experience in San Antonio. :-)

@gaylewood Only someone like a fellow-traveler to the northlands would bother to stop with a comment! Thanks, Gayle...I've delighted in the transition period that has taken place since I first took this upon arrival!
