"It's Valentine's Day and I can't believe I didn't take a picture to post!" But in that micro-second, I looked over the computer, and there was my Valentine picture, right in my face!
Ken had flowers for me before I was awake, here at my "desk" and in the living room, and above that is a gift from my friend, Judee, who came over with three other friends to visit with Ken and me until dinner time.
With no plans at the outset, it became a lovely and memorable day. I decided it was time for a pedicure, so that and flowers would have been a lovely treat, but afterward, I had my first visit from friends, and it was so good to catch up with everyone!
Now don't laugh, but Ken has switched Internet service provider, and they gave him a "tablet". I'm that dinosaur who never had a cell phone, much less any of the other techno toys. I agreed to accept this if I didn't have to use it for a phone and if I could have some apps...
I don't have to tell any of you that I think I'm going to like this new toy! On to the learning curve!
Sounds like you had a lovely day! I really like that heart with the bells. And the flowers from Ken are beautiful. Those lilies smell so good when they open.
What a lovely arrangement, and it sounds like you had an awesome day! ------ Ours?? -- Well, I started out with a CT scan this a.m. then we had lunch with friends. I had a doctor appointment later in the day and got results of CT scan -- no loosening of my hip prosthesis or fracture to my femur bone. --- Good news! But since upper leg pain persists, having another CT scan later this week on back -- maybe, hopefully, just a pinched nerve???
@joysfocus never took-&-posted a photo so fast...right off the camera card (can ya tell???) This is a day when I might normally be creating a lush Valentine image, but I filled all the hours "out and about" which was wonderful for a change!

(Wrapping my head around Valentine's Day in the heat of summer! My Lunenburg neighbour told me today they'd had the worst blizzard she'd ever seen! THAT's the other side of the story!)

@aglennc It would be safe to say I was enjoying today perhaps more than you did. I fully understand the pleasure in good results from a scan, but I know too well the frustration that "something's still not right" and you wonder where you'll turn next! Good luck on the next round!

@pamknowler Well, thank you for that, m'friend. I feel loved by you, but you really don't have to fave the trash photos! Yes, cute Ken was bemoaning on Valentine's Eve that he'd done nothing for me. We're not that kind of a couple that need all the outward displays, so I told him I was totally fine with that! So I got up late this morning, walked into the room, talking to him, saw a leaf on the floor and wondered who'd tracked that in, and then looked up at the table! I think he was tickled at my reaction because he'd made two arrangements from one large bouquet. Funnier still was that he'd been to Costco and said, "Nothing says love like flowers and Sweet Potatoes!"
Ha ha, I am a true technophobe too! My hubby and son bought me my first iPhone this time last year and the first thing I did was to go into the settings and turn everything off!! Enjoy your new toy :)
@lynnz I think I am already! (I read news stories while easing "my mushy dinner"! It goes bye-bye when Ken and I can enjoy eating dinner together again!)
