Our tangerine tree is overloaded this year, but they're *not quite* at their sweetest yet. That was, until today. If you pluck a tangerine and the rind is loose enough to stay attached to the stem, it's good to go!
This makes me so hungry for tangerines. We had a prolific tree in San Diego.. We've tried three different ones here in Escondido, and none have made it. I loved eating that fruit right off the tree.
@aglennc Drop by if you're up this way! I can send you home with a sack full and we won't even notice they're gone! (Like you, our most prolific lemon tree died off, was replaced, & in 3 years, we have 1 pathetic lemon on the new one... What's THAT about?!)
