Had to share this "older photo" and you'll see why shortly. Tigger was at the back door yowling in a manner that couldn't be ignored. Looking out to see him, it was a short while before I noticed something on the ground next to him...a small piece of debris...and I leaned down to pick it up. To my amazement, it was a tiny baby lizard on its back! I picked it up and examined it, and though it lay motionless, it had no damage. I set it in a box to see if it might revive...and voila! Tigger must have the gentle mouth of a Retriever as this is not the first lizard he's brought to me, but it was the smallest! Here I photographed it in Ken's hand, and then released it to a rock pile where he might remain safe!
Is that not the cutest little lizard?!! Tigger thought I'd like it... He was so proud of himself!
Oh he is so tiny!! What a sweet present for Tigger to bring you!! So pleased you were able to save him. Most things brought home to me by my cats normally died from shock. I often had to dispose of the bodies!! Lovely!! LOL! Fav!
@elkereturns I've never actually seen one up here... This one was in my yard in California and it will be mild all winter. We see them sunning themselves on the top of the cinder block walls that's around the yard... So cute!
@skipt07 again I'm reminded by you thank you why I am glad I raised little girls haha.... And oh my in this world today I probably been Politically Incorrect or sexist who knows!
Well I think the star of the show is Tigger. To think he brought you this tiny little creature and didn't injure it. Now that's what I call a soft mouth ....and a soft heart. Way to go Tigger!
BTW, your link takes us to Mandy's most current photo, not to the lizard.
