When we left the house this morning, I knew this was the one stop I wanted to make for my photo today. How tragic it must have been for this small town to have lost their husbands and sons in WWI where the old-family names are still the same.

Looking at this post tonight, I see the changes that continue to take place even after we're gone, but those who gave their lives to serve their country will be memorialized forever.

So many fine young men fell in that awful war. Very sobering. Lots and lots of our little towns have WW1 memorials too, makes you pull back and think a bit.
