Our friends arrived yesterday and the last two days have been full! On this rainy day we drove across the peninsula to Hall's Harbour at low tide where the impressive Bay of Fundy can be a startling sight. This Bay has the world's highest and lowest tides that turn every six hours. After a long visit with lots of photo opportunities, we headed to lunch, coming across my very favourite farm for produce. If I can remember it all, we filled a huge shopping bag with zucchini, cucumber, butternut squash, cherry tomatoes, green tomatoes, green peppers, pie pumpkins and a huge pumpkin...total, about $18 (US)
When we returned home, having had a big lunch, we were satisfied with bruchetta with avocado, tomato, basil and a balsamic reduction on fresh-baked bread. What a deliciously wonderful day it was, and plans are in place to set out at 8:30 tomorrow for another full day!
The environment in fall here is so full of beauty and the best of healthy fresh foods!
oh, i remember those giant zucchinis you bought the last time i was there. must dig up and examine all the photos i've taken then. beautiful colours against the gritty backdrop. aces!
Beautiful scene! I am looking forward to seeing lots of huge pumpkins when I am there! Wonderful colours! Sounds like you are enjoying yourselves! Fav!
@casablanca 24+ hours and we're plotting the coming days ahead! She's a great photographer's companion, and Ken gets a great deal of credit for driving us wherever we'd like to go!
