A Visitor to my Peaceable Kingdom

My neighbor across the street took this in my driveway as they arrived home. It's not the first time we've had egrets in the neighborhood. This lovely bird was probably looking for breakfast and knows I'm the keeper of the grocery store. The last time I photographed one down the street, I was shocked to zoom in later and find him with a lizard in his mouth! ...I know what this one wants and I've got 'em!
It’s nice to have visitors.

That's one savvy egret, he knows where to find DD.

Surprising the wildlife that show up in our So Cal neighborhoods. I’ve had some interesting visitors but never an egret.

You have become an animal magnet. Astonishing to see an egret in suburbia.

Great capture of this impressing bird visitor.
Many towns in our country have forbidden to feed them. They become very agressive to people.
May 17th, 2020
@pyrrhula Wow! We have never had one around long enough to be aggressive to us, but I'm sure my lizards would like me to run them off!

Well that's an odd place to find an egret! The word is out, evidently. Next expect to see cassowary's, crocodiles, and on Friday, several flamingos flocking down your street.
