Farther Fields by Weezilou

Farther Fields

Another day, another lizard! Out of curiosity I went looking for how many I could easily find! That total was 7! 5 were atop the wall and two more on the ground, all easy to spot and photograph! They're so beautifully prehistoric-looking, I find them fascinating!

Today I went out for another look while my photos were uploading. I had a panic when there was "something next to a lizard on top of the wall"...it looked a bit like a hairy tarantula with a claw-type foot...or was it a cat's foot? I called for Ken, but it was gone when he returned! The more I thought about it, I decided it was a cat on the other side of the wall that had leaped to catch the lizard and was left with his foot (one claw extended) atop the wall! That would probably explain why half my lizards have stubby tails!
A nice capture of this little fellow. In Arizona we had a lot of them taking in the sun!

Fun picture, Louise, and a fun narrative too. I can't imagine seeing a lizard in Wyoming but I certainly have plenty in arizona.

You sure have a wealth of lizards. Now I’m wondering too, spider or cat’s paw?
