The image by Kathy @radiogirlhttp://365project.org/radiogirl/365/2015-03-25 was so well-seen as an interpretation of Modern Art, I was inspired to post this image, taken on the grounds of Lahainaluna High School (the oldest High School west of the Rockies!) This was a work shed on the grounds of the school, and, after taking this, a workman asked to see it, commenting that it was a nice sunset! The orange is the color of the Maui dirt, and so, over years of rain splattering on the ground and throwing it against the metal corrugation, the resulting image, to my mind, would have inspired Rothko. There again, Plein Air Modern Art ... let your eye fall where it may and see what you can find!
Louise its amazing what we can find in simple objects all around us! I love the way the shadows lead our eyes to the centre of the photo, so often we find rich texture in the old and weathered.
