Scenic Southern California (read in the sarcasm...)
This is why the best photos are often taken down at the beach, facing the ocean!
I'd planned ahead for a moon shot rising over Saddleback Mountain, and found an open field at the local high school... ahem... yah...
In the suburbs there's so very little open space, it's shocking to realize what you *can't* see when you start looking! The best views often seem to be while driving 80 mph, keeping up with traffic on the freeway!
For the full moon, I've scoped out a third floor balcony where my dentist's office is. The view seems to be unobstructed, so I can only hope that a security guard won't try to run us off when we walk upstairs with camera and a tripod!
@allie912 Leave it to you, Art Collector, to find the unintended hidden "beauty" here! Perhaps I need to ETSOOT for the fun of making it something it isn't...in my spare time...right!
Those darn wires again........ They photobomb more photos! But isn't that a beautiful moon? Last night and tonight. We've driven home from San Diego both evenings and admired the moon both times!
@deliad Thanks again, Delia! Even at such a distance, it was the moon that caught my eye! (I actually didn't see the wires when I was taking the pictures...thought the camera was shooting above them! )
I like the shot, and understand your frustration. When I was in Colorado recently, I found it difficult to find open space in my parent's town to get good views of sunrise and sunsets which were beautiful.
@evalieutionspics Thanks for understanding! I wouldn't mind going further, but the traffic is a huge deterrent here! We spend summers in a small Nova Scotia town, so I find that far more satisfying, pictorially!
@Weezilou I understand that also. We lived in LA for a year just after my husband graduated from college. We've been in teeninesy villages since moving overseas, and our house in the US is in a village...I am definitely converted.
