Confronting "My Dark Side" that I like to think I'm capable of holding at bay...
For fiveplustwo-heroesvsvillains this week
When I saw this week's suggestion, I had two other ideas completely apart from this, but there was that opening in the droplet-laced tree, and my mind went to work! It should be said that Ken hates this and thinks it's too gruesome, probably because it is the antithesis of my more typical images... I like the opportunity to go where I haven't gone before...
As a point of reference, I took a photo of that tree out this same window on the 8th day of my project in 2010. I've learned to *stretch* if I may say so myself! https://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2010-01-06
Even creepier on black if you're not thinking "Goth Christmas Tree"!
Well done, Louise! I think it's therapeutic and fun to acknowledge one's dark side in a creative and harmless way. It's so converse to your usual bright and sunny offerings that I didn't recognize it as a 'Louise & Ken'. A marvelous expressive "stretch"!
@peggysirk Thank you, my encouraging friend! I was happy to realize that "a selfie" didn't have to be full body always! I'm happy to try new things, but will now revert to my "sunny side" as it's a far-more comfortable fit!
OMG that's really creepy Louise!! I have this thing about eyes peeping out behind curtains watching you. I always had problems watching creepy movies when on my own if it was a thriller and the villain was watching the girl through the window. Oh no you have set me off!! LOL!! This is so different from your usual happy images - well done for visiting the dark side!! Come back soon!!
@pamknowler LOL! I intend to be back shortly!
Like you, I will NOT watch creepy movies...hate being scared!
Having done this, I DO KNOW that some of my art teachers from years past would be congratulating me for doing this! (Of course, WHY do I care after all these years?!) Just personally, it was about "The Stretch" and "Outside the Box"...but then, the latter conjures "Pandora" and we know THAT wasn't pleasant!!! haha...time to stop thinking deeply!
Hahaha "It should be said that Ken hates this"!!! :) I think it's very fun and I love your out-of-the-box thinking on this, it's perfectly gruesome... Sometimes a bit of gruesome is fun!
Yikes! I really like this creepy image, Louise. Very cool! And . . . I enjoyed following your link back to your 8th day project photo. Wow! 2010! That's amazing! :-)
