Because Ken is switching Internet Service Providers, the new company gave us (me) "a tablet". I never wanted a phone, but I've envied everyone with the fun apps there are out there! Tonight I picked one of the simplest photos I took today, downloaded practically the first app I came to and wow that was fun! Had to go with "something" so kept it simple.
I have mixed emotions about signing my name to anything this simple, but I can certainly see the pleasure in knocking these out! I sense that this is only the beginning!
wow! I can see you having so much fund with your new toy. I dont even have a smart phone yet but will have to get rid of my dinosaur phone soon as its only 2G (whatever that is) and its being discontinued in September
You're going to have a blast! I enjoy entertaining the grandkids by messing around with their photos in Prisma. It takes a normal photo and turns it into any style of famous art. Keeps the kids amused while we wait for meals in restaurants.
So much fun! World of fun awaits you :). Tiny Planet is one of my favs, and for sheer fun check out Ghost Lens 2. Photo Wizard is great for masking and the PSE app is also very sophisticated. Lots of wonderful apps to add a new dimension to your already excellent art.
A new journey! My phone has been acting up for awhile now, so even though I felt attached to it...I have gotten used to leaving it at home on the charger. Amazing how freeing that is!
Well done on your first go at editing using the new tablet! I know you are going to have great fun using this. I look forward to seeing many more of your creations! Fav!
@elkereturns Also, perhaps, keeps Grandma amused while waiting in restaurants? I didn't want a phone, but I suspected there was a lot of other fun to be had! Thanks for sharing a favourite app!
@teiko You rock, Emilie! I'd just thanked Elke for naming her favourite app, and yu give me a list to pick from! I love it because it's clearly a slippery slope without some direction! I don't want to become lazy about actually "creating from my own imagination", but there are those days when time runs short... Well, that's my game-plan at the moment...
@laurieewilson We'e just back from Costco, and as one who isn't carrying a cell phone, it's stupefying to watch people, on their phones, blocking traffic and altogether, often just being inattentive. I commend you for giving "free hands" a try! I also stepped into a new doctor's office this morning and it was the first one without a tv set! (My soap box, but when we hit rock bottom, people will need classes in actual face to face communication!) Thanks, Laurie for cheering on my "new journey"!
@pamknowler I can see they'd be easy and successful for designing some cards. I completely understand why people love using these! When I first started seeing them, I wanted them as well...and now's my chance! As with all things, I do believe there's a time and a place!
Our service provider also provided us with tablets about a year ago. We've never touched them...... Guess I should get it out and check it out. I don't use an IPad either. Guess I'm satisfied with my cell phone.
@stray_shooter ...pretty sure you mean "addiction"! ...and yes, probably! Tonight I bought the upgrade, but haven't used it yet! It's not that I don't have enough on the computer already ...
@elkereturns I came back here to see what my friends had recommended! Last night the boys discovered the only app I've purchased (thus far) and they're enthralled! Of course I'm loving it as well! Thanks for the advice... Off to check out Prisma!
