1/2 of Petty Harbour, Newfoundland by Weezilou

1/2 of Petty Harbour, Newfoundland

The other half of the homes lie across the little harbour...and throw in another 10-12 in case my numbers are wrong! It's a fishing village with as many boats as homes and nets drying on the side of the boat house. One boat was named "Bread and Butter"... You get the idea.

Tomorrow we're going up the coast and will see more small fishing villages along the way. It's truly fascinating... so near Nova Scotia and yet so different. Viva la difference!
Wonderful shot of this charming harbour area! I wonder if there's a Tim Hortons tucked in there somewhere? :-)

What a lovely area :)

It looks like I expected it to look like! Those houses perched so strongly (one would hope) on a rocky hillside!

The photo you took from the air made it look so much more populated. This is a wonderful wind swept coastal scene.
