There are two ponds on the north side of Menard's which I drive by when going to the store. Today there was a family of geese on one, and a heron on the other. Usually my trips to town do not yield much for wildlife photography. It was a nice surprise. This is extremely cropped, as he was resting in the middle of the pond and took off the minute he realized I was approaching him.
