tiensang suggested a crop off the top on the sparrow image, while Richard thought a crop off the bottom would be more interesting. Here I put the left bird in the center left third, with the thirds line running through the center bird's eye. I originally used a standard Rule of Thirds with the center bird in the center ... I know. Not compositionally terribly interesting, but traditional! It's interesting how different the image looks with different crops. No need to comment ... just sharing
I think this one hits my eye (I am trying to look at all three at once : ) I guess more green points up the birds where more of the reddish color is too close to their tone and they get swallowed up (no pun intended) by it. such a wonderful capture no matter which way!
