The wilderness area we visited was ... well ... wilderness. The tree canopy and brush were thick and it was nearly impossible to see the birds. Lots and lots of birdsong, and Merlin told us there were lots of warblers and vireos and redstarts. Youngest's eyes are much sharper than mine. She did spot this vireo, and a redstart. I'm not used to only listening for identification, and found the lack of photo opportunities frustrating.
