Black- necked Stork by annied

Black- necked Stork

The Black-necked Stork is the only species of stork that occurs in Australia. In northern Australia, the species is traditionally called the Jabiru, but this is not an Indigenous name, as is often supposed, but is a Brazilian name which refers to a totally different species of stork which occurs in South and Central America.

an artistic interpretation for the artist challenge can be seen here - https://365project.org/annied/the-ones-i-left/2019-01-07

Did you know UNESCO declared 2019 the International Year of Indigenous Languages? Did you know the State Library of Queensland is promoting a word of the week from one of the 125+ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages and dialects from across Queensland? This week's word is yulugi which means will celebrate or to celebrate
( http://blogs.slq.qld.gov.au/ilq/2019/01/02/2019-international-year-of-indigenous-languages-word-of-the-week/ )
I think that is week one, so there may soon be a week two word, so if you'd prefer to wait and see what that might be, you certainly can do that. Anyway, I thought it would be fun for your get-pushed challenge this week to take a photograph that expresses the word of the week from the State Library's word of the week. Does that sound ok? If not, let me know, and I'll set another challenge.

@aecasey hahahaha when I first started reading I'm like "April what a curious topic to comment about" I like the idea and will check if there is a week two word.
