Continuing with another glimpse of the Beverly Mural. This is the Dando Block. Thomas Dando was the first postmaster in Beverly in 1911 and he also donated two lots for the Beverly Cenotaph, that will be tomorrow's picture.
He also served as town mayor in 1918-19.
He built this building in 1924. Thomas passed away in October 1927. The building unfortunately would later on be destroyed in a fire
Super art on a wall! Love these images from Beverly. Backstory is fascinating too, Thomas Dando sounds quite a person. Thank you for sharing it, Brian. Fav.
Love this! We visited Chemanis when we were in BC (at least I think it was called Chemanis lol) and apparently they are known for all their murals! There is a little town here in NB that is called Sussex and they too have a large collection of murals.
