A is for alley

Well it has been a bit of a tough week. Work has been very busy, I got news that my brother was unexpectedly laid off his job and my one brother-in-law has a tumor on his kidney and next month they will be removing that kidney. So I think it is time to find a little inspiration for my pictures. It has been a long time since I have photographed my ABC's.
I have always found alleys a great spot for photographs. This one is in Old Strathcona. I thought it would look good in b/w.
Have a great weekend everyone
The alley leads our eyes right through the picture in a really neat way. Nice clarity of reflection in the puddles, too. So sorry to hear of your trying week. Photography can really be a nice distraction, as well as a good outlet for expression...

So sorry to hear about all of these issues. You are right, when that camera is in your hands and you are taking photos, nothing else in the world exists.

A difficult time- a splendid start to your new project.
November 15th, 2014
Oh gosh I'm so sorry your brother was laid off his job. That is difficult and also really sorry your brother-in-law has a tumor on his kidney and I hope his surgery goes well. And nice shot of this alley.

I see it has already snowed in Edmonton! Looks good in b&w.
November 15th, 2014
You certainly had a difficult week; I hope these issues are resolved as well as they possibly can be. I love the light and reflections and general feeling of urban winter in this shot. I like alleys too. The backs of things are so often more interesting than the fronts! Fav for me.
