B is for Brewery District

I have featured this building before. It is the old Edmonton Brewery and Malting Co. It was built in1921. It has been shut down for sometime now and only this original section of the building is left.
The good news is that there are plans to restore it and build new buildings around it for restaurants and retail outlets. It is slated to open in 2015.
Lovely old brick!

Great old building, Brian. I'm always pleased to hear when an old building is saved!

That is what is happening in Richmond. They just completed the renovation of a industrial complex where Girl Scout cookies and crackers were baked. They are calling the 178 industrial chic apartments "Cookie Factory Lofts"!

Great looking old building--cool shot!

It's great that they are planning to renovate this building and use it for a new purpose. In my home town in Iowa they did that with an old local brewery building. It now has wonderful restaurants in it. Great capture for comparison with the new version once it's complete.
