Today we were at a memorial service of a young lady who was killed in a car accident on Feb. 2.
We got to know Charlene from our time volunteering at the chapel at West Edmonton Mall. To give you an understanding of the impact her life had. There was close to 1000 people in attendance at the service. The picture on the bottom is of young ladies that were a part of the youth group that Charlene served with in the church. She was in her second year of nursing and engaged to a young man she met 13 months ago.
If there is something good out of this her lungs went to a young man who would have passed away that weekend without a transplant
Well she will surely be missed and comforting for her loved ones that so many came to share with them. We can't understand so much of these sadnesses but try to trust that there is a greater plan.
So sad. She is so young. She touched a lot of people in her short life. Her death touches me in a lot of ways. My son is just a year younger than she was.
So very sad. It seems she had a positive impact on so many people and will be fondly remembered. Organ donation is the one positive to come out of this.
Charlene looks and sounds like a wonderful person, so sad to hear of her passing at such a tender age. my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all you wonderful people who cared for her.
She sounds like an amazing young woman and although I'm sure she didn't plan this, her giving spirit is even evident in her death. It is very obvious that she will be missed but I do hope that each person she touched continues to reflect the impact she made on them. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who knew her.
